A modified pulse charging method for lithium-ion batteries by considering stress evolution, charging

摘要: The stress evolution, total charging time and capacity utilization of pulse charging (PC) method are investigated in this paper. It is found that compared to the conventional constant current (CC) charging method, the PC method can accelerate the charging process but will inevitably cause an increase in stress and a decrease in capacity. The charging speed for PC method can be estimated by the mean current. By introducing stress control, a modified PC method called the PCCC method, which starts with a PC operation followed by a CC operation, is proposed. The PCCC method not only can accelerate charging process but also can avoid the stress raising and capacity loss occurring in the PC method. Furthermore, the optimal pulsed current density and switch time in the PCCC method is also discussed.

基于液冷的电池热管理系统快充-冷却耦合规划方法 Article

摘要:

高效的快速充电技术对电动汽车行驶里程的拓展十分重要。然而,锂离子电池在大电流充电倍率下会大量产热。为解决这一问题,急需一种高效的快速充电-冷却规划方法。此次研究针对锂离子电池组的快速充电过程,设计了一种配有微流道的基于液冷的热管理系统。基于81组实验数据,提出了一种基于神经网络的回归模型,由三个考虑以下输出的子模型构成:最高温度、温度标准差及功耗。训练后的子模型均呈现出较高的测试准确性(99.353%、97.332%和98.381%)。此回归模型用于预测一个设计方案全集的三个输出参数,此全集由不同充电阶段的充电电流倍率[0.5C、1C、1.5C、2C和2.5C(1C = 5 A)],以及不同的冷却液流量(0.0006 kg·s-1、0.0012 kg·s-1和0.0018 kg·s-1)组成。最终从预测得到的设计方案全集中筛选出一组最优过程方案,并经实验得到了验证。结果表明在功耗低于0.02 J的情况下电池组荷电状态(SOC)值经15 min充电后增长了0.5。同时最高温度和温度标准差可分别控制在33.35 ℃和0.8 ℃以内。本文所提出的方法可供电动汽车行业在实际快速充电工况下使用。此外,可以基于实验数据预测最佳快速充电-冷却计划,从而显著提高充电过程设计的效率,并控制冷却过程中的能耗。

Investigation of vortical flows over oscillating body using fast Lagrangian vortex method

摘要: A computational method facilitating long-time and high-resolution unsteady vortical flows is developed with the advantages of the discrete vortex methods. Both the velocity and pressure distribution of the flow field are calculated by integral formulations in combination with a fast summation algorithm. The vorticity field is described by Lagrangian representation, which is well suited to the moving boundary. Viscosity diffusion of the vorticity is considered with the core spreading model corrected by an adaptive splitting and merging algorithm. The effectiveness of the present method is examined by comparing the numerical results of unsteady separated flows which pass a cylinder and a thin cambered blade undergoing rotational oscillations with available experimental results. Interesting results about vortex shedding patterns and lock-in characteristics are provided for the thin cambered blade.

Multiscale stochastic finite element method on random field modeling of geotechnical problems – a fast

摘要: The Green-function-based multiscale stochastic finite element method (MSFEM) has been formulated based on the stochastic variational principle. In this study a fast computing procedure based on the MSFEM is developed to solve random field geotechnical problems with a typical coefficient of variance less than 1. A unique fast computing advantage of the procedure enables computation performed only on those locations of interest, therefore saving a lot of computation. The numerical example on soil settlement shows that the procedure achieves significant computing efficiency compared with Monte Carlo method.

Structural parameter design method for a fast-steering mirror based on a closed-loop bandwidth

摘要: When a fast-steering mirror (FSM) system is designed, satisfying the performance requirements before fabrication and assembly is vital. This study proposes a structural parameter design approach for an FSM system based on the quantitative analysis of the required closed-loop bandwidth. First, the open-loop transfer function of the FSM system is derived. In accordance with the transfer function, the notch filter and proportional-integral (PI) feedback controller are designed as a closed-loop controller. The gains of the PI controller are determined by maximizing the closed-loop bandwidth while ensuring the robustness of the system. Then, the two unknown variables of rotational radius and stiffness in the open-loop transfer function are optimized, considering the bandwidth as a constraint condition. Finally, the structural parameters of the stage are determined on the basis of the optimized results of rotational radius and stiffness. Simulations are conducted to verify the theoretical analysis. A prototype of the FSM system is fabricated, and corresponding experimental tests are conducted. Experimental results indicate that the bandwidth of the proposed FSM system is 117.6 Hz, which satisfies the minimum bandwidth requirement of 100 Hz.

A sampling method based on URL clustering for fast web accessibility evaluation

摘要: When evaluating the accessibility of a large website, we rely on sampling methods to reduce the cost of evaluation. This may lead to a biased evaluation when the distribution of checkpoint violations in a website is skewed and the selected samples do not provide a good representation of the entire website. To improve sampling quality, stratified sampling methods first cluster web pages in a site and then draw samples from each cluster. In existing stratified sampling methods, however, all the pages in a website need to be analyzed for clustering, causing huge I/O and computation costs. To address this issue, we propose a novel page sampling method based on URL clustering for web accessibility evaluation, namely URLSamp. Using only the URL information for stratified page sampling, URLSamp can efficiently scale to large websites. Meanwhile, by exploiting similarities in URL patterns, URLSamp cluster pages by their generating scripts and can thus effectively detect accessibility problems from web page templates. We use a data set of 45 web sites to validate our method. Experimental results show that our URLSamp method is both effective and efficient for web accessibility evaluation.

A Fast Evaluation and Research Method for Exploration Potential of Oversea Basins

摘要: Oversea hydrocarbon exploration always faces some problems, such as multiple basin types, different exploration prospects, various exploration degrees, diverse data quantities and geological recognitions. This paper focuses on overseas basins with different exploration degrees and offers a new evaluation system and research method for fast evaluation and risk analysis on hydrocarbon potential. Based on the theory of probability, this new evaluation system evaluates each parameter and core accumulation factor with comprehensive and quantitative assignment, to accelerate geological evaluation. In addition, this paper suggests that source rock evaluation should be the core criterion in screening evaluation of poor-explored basins, and also proposes that both the exploration potential and geological recognition should drive the evaluation for basins with high exploration degrees. This new system and method, which is an effective system for fast basin evaluation, is suggested to be used in oversea evaluation and decision-making objectively, scientifically and efficiently.

A fast compound direct iterative algorithm for solving transient line contact elastohydrodynamic lubrication

摘要:

A fast compound direct iterative algorithm for solving transient line contact elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) problems is presented. First, by introducing a special matrix splitting iteration method into the traditional compound direct iterative method, the full matrices for the linear systems of equations are transformed into sparse banded ones with any half-bandwidth; then, an extended Thomas method which can solve banded linear systems with any half-bandwidth is derived to accelerate the computing speed. Through the above two steps, the computational complexity of each iteration is reduced approximately from O(N3/3) to O(β2N), where N is the total number of nodes, and β is the half-bandwidth. Two kinds of numerical results of transient EHL line contact problems under sinusoidal excitation or pure normal approach process are obtained. The results demonstrate that the new algorithm increases computing speed several times more than the traditional compound direct iterative method with the same numerical precision. Also the results show that the new algorithm can get the best computing speed and robustness when the ratio, half-bandwidth to total number of nodes, is about 7.5%–10.0% in moderate load cases.

Cumulant-based correlated probabilistic load flow considering photovoltaic generation and electric vehicle charging

摘要: This paper applies a cumulant-based analytical method for probabilistic load flow (PLF) assessment in transmission and distribution systems. The uncertainties pertaining to photovoltaic generations and aggregate bus load powers are probabilistically modeled in the case of transmission systems. In the case of distribution systems, the uncertainties pertaining to plug-in hybrid electric vehicle and battery electric vehicle charging demands in residential community as well as charging stations are probabilistically modeled. The probability distributions of the result variables (bus voltages and branch power flows) pertaining to these inputs are accurately established. The multiple input correlation cases are incorporated. Simultaneously, the performance of the proposed method is demonstrated on a modified Ward-Hale 6-bus system and an IEEE 14-bus transmission system as well as on a modified IEEE 69-bus radial and an IEEE 33-bus mesh distribution system. The results of the proposed method are compared with that of Monte-Carlo simulation.

含空洞岩体微震定位的快速行进法——性能分析与工程应用 Article

微震事件定位是微震监测技术的重要组成部分,用于圈定围岩损伤区。然而,复杂的地质条件会对最终的微震事件定位结果造成不利的影响。为实现含空洞复杂岩体中的高精度微震事件定位,本研究基于二阶差分形式的快速行进法,开发了微震事件定位方法。该方法基于建立的三维离散网格波速模型,通过搜索满足理论到时与实际到时之间残差最小的网格节点,实现对微震事件的定位。此外,基于二阶快速行进法的计算结果,微震破裂源到微震传感器的传播路径,可通过应用线性插值与龙格-库塔法获得。所用方法的合理性在一系列的数值仿真实验中得到了验证。提出的方法被应用于定位在猴子岩水电站地下洞室开挖过程中所记录的爆破与微震事件。爆破事件的定位结果表明,与采用均一岩体波速模型的定位结果相比,本方法能够有效减低微震事件定位误差。而对于微震事件的定位结果,通过现场的混凝土破裂与剥落,以及现场多点位移计的监测结果得到验证。本文提出的方法可提供相对更准确的岩体破裂位置,为圈定围岩损伤区工作提供便利。

Formation of free-charging industry alliance for new energy vehicles

摘要: At present, the further development of new energy vehicles industry is hindered by limited consumer’s participation or capital investment. Therefore, a new multilateral model of cross-industry alliance needs to arise. The advanced charging technology of Internet-distributed mobile energy can link up with many market participants closely and form an effective and multilateral win-win cross-industry alliance. This new industry alliance can realize unexpected multiple goals, for example, (1) consumers who have purchased new energy vehicles can avail free charging; (2) potential vehicle buyers can be encouraged to use new energy vehicles; (3) the new energy vehicle manufacturers can expand their production scale; (4) the new energy vehicles sellers (4S shop) can expand their sales volume; (5) large shopping malls can attain more income; (6) financial institutions can absorb more deposits; (7) governments can further promote low-carbon traffic. This article analyzes the cross-industry alliance and its forming mechanism.

A framework for stochastic estimation of electric vehicle charging behavior for risk assessment of distribution

摘要: Power systems are being transformed to enhance the sustainability. This paper contributes to the knowledge regarding the operational process of future power networks by developing a realistic and stochastic charging model of electric vehicles (EVs).Large-scale integration of EVs into residential distribution networks (RDNs) is an evolving issue of paramount significance for utility operators. Unbalanced voltages prevent effective and reliable operation of RDNs. Diversified EV loads require a stochastic approach to predict EVs charging demand, consequently, a probabilistic model is developed to account several realistic aspects comprising charging time, battery capacity, driving mileage, state-of-charge, traveling frequency, charging power, and time-of-use mechanism under peak and off-peak charging strategies. An attempt is made to examine risks associated with RDNs by applying a stochastic model of EVs charging pattern. The output of EV stochastic model obtained from Monte-Carlo simulations is utilized to evaluate the power quality parameters of RDNs. The equipment capability of RDNs must be evaluated to determine the potential overloads. Performance specifications of RDNs including voltage unbalance factor, voltage behavior, domestic transformer limits and feeder losses are assessed in context to EV charging scenarios with various charging power levels at different penetration levels. Moreover, the impact assessment of EVs on RDNs is found to majorly rely on the type and location of a power network.

Preliminary design of an SCO conversion system applied to the sodium cooled fast reactor

摘要: The supercritical carbon dioxide (SCO2) Brayton cycle has become an ideal power conversion system for sodium-cooled fast reactors (SFR) due to its high efficiency, compactness, and avoidance of sodium-water reaction. In this paper, the 1200 MWe large pool SFR (CFR1200) is used as the heat source of the system, and the sodium circuit temperature and the heat load are the operating boundaries of the cycle system. The performance of different SCO2 Brayton cycle systems and changes in key equipment performance are compared. The study indicates that the inter-stage cooling and recompression cycle has the best match with the heat source characte-ristics of the SFR, and the cycle efficiency is the highest (40.7%). Then, based on the developed system transient analysis program (FR-Sdaso), a pool-type SFR power plant system analysis model based on the inter-stage cooling and recompression cycle is established. In addition, the matching between the inter-stage cooling recompression cycle and the SFR during the load cycle of the power plant is studied. The analysis shows that when the nuclear island adopts the flow-advanced operation strategy and the carbon dioxide flowrate in the SCO2 power conversion system is adjusted with the goal of maintaining the sodium-carbon dioxide heat exchanger sodium side outlet temperature unchanged, the inter-stage cooling recompression cycle can match the operation of the SFR very well.

一种基于充电模式识别的电动汽车充电时间预测方法 Research Article

摘要: 电动汽车动力电池过度充电容易导致电池加速老化和严重的安全事故。因此,准确预测车辆充电时间对充电安全防护意义重大。由于电池组结构复杂,充电方式多样,传统方法因缺乏充电模式识别而预测精度不高。本文应用数据驱动和机器学习理论,提出一种新的基于充电模式识别的充电时间预测方法。首先,基于动态加权密度峰值聚类(DWDPC)和随机森林融合的智能算法对车辆充电模式进行分类;然后,采用改进的简化粒子群优化算法(ISPSO)和强跟踪滤波器(STF),对LSTM神经网络进行优化,构建了一种高性能的充电时间预测方法;最后,通过实际工程数据对所提出的ISPSO-LSTM-STF方法进行了验证。实验结果表明,该方法能够有效区分充电模式,提高了充电时间预测精度,具有实际工程意义。
